OG Mania: Pawan Kalyan Surpasses Prabhas, Allu Arjun on Day 1
Pawan Kalyan’s new release They Call Him OG smashes opening day records, collecting Rs 70 crore in Telugu alone and trending globally.

Pawan Kalyan’s latest release, They Call Him OG, has stormed the box office, breaking records both in India and overseas. The gangster drama, directed by Sujeeth and featuring Emraan Hashmi alongside Kalyan, achieved the largest premiere of the year in North America.
The film recorded a staggering total of Rs 70.75 crore on its first day, with the Telugu version alone contributing Rs 70 crore. Collections from Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada versions added the remaining amount. Including paid premieres, the overall day-one revenue reaches Rs 91 crore.
This opening places They Call Him OG fourth in the list of highest-grossing day-one Telugu films. Pawan Kalyan’s entry surpasses notable films such as Prabhas’s Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (Rs 66.75 crore), Kalki 2898 AD (Rs 65.8 crore), Saaho (Rs 60 crore), Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 58 crore), Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise (Rs 38.15 crore), and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (Rs 37 crore).
Only three films have achieved higher day-one collections in Telugu cinema: Jr NTR’s Devara: Part 1 (Rs 73.25 crore), Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 – The Rule (Rs 80 crore), and SS Rajamouli’s RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR (Rs 103.13 crore).
