Pawan Kalyan’s latest Tollywood action thriller “They Call Him OG” is showing signs of slowing down in its second week at the box office. On Day 9 (October 3, 2025), the film recorded a 41.3% drop in revenue, as new releases like “Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1” and “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari” entered theatres, intensifying competition.
Produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari under DVV Entertainment, the movie has been eyeing the ₹300 crore club. On Day 9, it collected ₹4.52 crore net in India, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. The film had a strong first week, earning ₹169.3 crore net domestically and reaching ₹173.82 crore by the end of Day 9.
The film opened with a ₹63.75 crore weekend, making it the highest-grossing film of Pawan Kalyan’s career and the first of his movies to cross the ₹200 crore mark in the opening stretch. Trade analysts estimate that They Call Him OG needs around ₹300 crore globally to break even. On October 3, the movie registered an overall 35.49% occupancy in Telugu-speaking regions.

In its first 8 days, the film amassed a global gross of ₹265.40 crore, including ₹63 crore from overseas markets. Film trade analyst Sumit Kadel has labeled OG a “big hit.”

Pawan Kalyan headlines as Ojas Gambheera, while Emraan Hashmi makes his Telugu debut playing Omi Bhau. The ensemble cast also includes Priyanka Mohan, Prakash Raj, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy, Shaam, Harish Uthaman, Rahul Ravindran, and Jackie Shroff in a cameo.
