Telugu actress and producer Niharika Konidela, daughter of senior actor Naga Babu, has made a name for herself in the Telugu film industry through talent and determination, despite coming from a celebrated film family. She married businessman Chaitanya Jonnalagadda in 2020, but the couple parted ways three years later. The reason for their separation remained undisclosed—until now.

In a recent interview with Deccan Chronicle, Naga Babu opened up about the end of his daughter’s marriage, calling it a "misjudgment" on the family’s part. He revealed that while the proposal seemed appropriate at the time and was accepted by Niharika, things didn’t work out as the couple couldn’t align mentally and emotionally.
“Her marriage was an error on our part; we failed to assess it correctly. We didn’t impose the marriage; when the proposal arose, she accepted it, and we felt it was a favorable choice. Unfortunately, they were not on the same wavelength, leading to a mutual decision to separate. I never pressured them to remain together,” Naga Babu stated.
He added that he respected their decision to part ways since it was mutual and based on their well-being.

Touching upon the possibility of remarriage, Naga Babu shared that Niharika is currently focused on her film production work but may consider settling down again if and when the right person enters her life.

“Varun assured me of his happiness and confidence in their bond, and that gave me the peace to support his decision. Today, they’re happily married, and his choice was absolutely right,” said Naga Babu.
