The horror-comedy movie Thamma featuring Rashmika Mandanna, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui is now offered on Amazon Prime Video for streaming after the film's release in theaters during the festival of Diwali October 21, 2025. The production received mixed reviews from critics and during the festival season took the chance to swipe at the audience for the theaters.
Amazon Prime Video took no one by surprise, as they had already built up a suspense with their Instagram post, which had a short clip and featured Ayushmann Khurrana, the direct announcement of the film’s digital premiere. For the fans who were unable to watch it in theaters, the online film Thamma now available to them will also be part of the ever-increasing set of the film company’s supernatural comedy universe that already contains Stree, Stree 2, Bhediya, and Munjya.

The movie is set to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video starting today, December 16, 2025. By adding thrills of the supernatural to the comedy elements, the film preserves the unique tone established by the previous creations of the studio and so it is a worthy holiday viewing option.
Thamma kicked off collecting Rs. 24 crore on the very first day of its release, which was a Tuesday, across the Hindi and Telugu versions. The global receipts amounted to Rs. 187.59 crore, with the net collections in India being Rs. 134.78 crore, as per Sacnilk. Thus, the film has set the record of being the most costly Indian horror-comedy, which also indicates the unrestrained scale of the production.
Aditya Sarpotdar directed the film which was written by Niren Bhatt, Arun Fulara, and Suresh Mathew. In the starring role is Ayushmann Khurrana as Alok, Rashmika Mandanna as Tadaka, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Yakshasan. Key roles in the ensemble cast are played by Paresh Rawal and Faisal Malik. A special appearance features Varun Dhawan who reprises his Bhediya role and Abhishek Banerjee as Jana from the Stree series. Dance numbers highlight Nora Fatehi and Malaika Arora.
