Mirai OTT Release: Telugu Superhero Film Streams From October 10

The Telugu superhero fantasy drama Mirai will begin streaming on OTT platforms starting October 10, weeks after its successful run in theaters. Fans can access the film in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, while a Hindi-dubbed version is expected to arrive about two months later.

Mirai follows a young man chosen by destiny to wield a mystical staff, a powerful weapon that activates only when summoned. The storyline explores his challenge in handling this extraordinary responsibility, blending elements of Indian mythology with action-driven sequences. Teja Sajja stars as the lead character, with Manchu Manoj portraying the antagonist. The narrative examines the ongoing struggle between good and evil, providing both visual spectacle and emotional depth.

Director Karthik Ghattamaneni confirmed that nearly four hours of footage were filmed for Mirai, but several sequences were omitted from theaters. The digital release will include select deleted scenes, offering viewers content not seen in the cinematic release.

Starting October 10, audiences can watch Mirai on JioHotstar across multiple South Indian languages. The digital release allows fans to enjoy the film at home, catering to those who missed its theatrical presentation. The Hindi-dubbed version is scheduled to follow the theatrical window by approximately two months.

The film features Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, Ritika Nayak, Jayaram, and Getup Srinu, whose performances complement the lead actors. The cast contributes to the action sequences and storytelling, elevating the cinematic experience and setting new benchmarks for Indian superhero films.

Produced on an estimated budget of Rs 60 crore, Mirai has grossed Rs 93.28 crore, yielding a profit of Rs 33.28 crore.
