Met Gala 2025: Kajol's playful dig at SRK's glam look steals the spotlight

The Met Gala 2025 turned into a buzzing celebration of style and culture, with the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” spotlighting Black dandyism, sharp silhouettes, and daring personal flair. Indian celebrities made a grand impression this year, and among the showstoppers was Bollywood’s very own Shah Rukh Khan.

Making his Met Gala debut, Shah Rukh stunned in an all-black Sabyasachi suit dripping with dramatic jewels and highlighted by a striking Tiger crane detail. The look had the internet talking—but it was longtime friend Kajol who had the cheekiest reaction.

Taking to Instagram, Kajol shared a carousel post that cheekily compared her own similar black outfit to SRK’s. The first slide featured Kajol in a sleek all-black ensemble, followed by Shah Rukh’s Met Gala look, and then a few more shots of herself. She hilariously captioned it, "Hmmmmmmmm, spot the difference. @iamsrk #allaboutthebling #greatminds."

The post quickly went viral, with fans loving the banter between the iconic on-screen duo. Known for their blockbuster films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Baazigar, and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kajol and Shah Rukh continue to charm audiences—both on and off screen.

Speaking to reporters at the Met, Shah Rukh reflected on his look: “My designer, Sabyasachi, envisioned it as an expression of freedom—of standing tall against anything that tries to hold you back.”
