The highly anticipated trailer launch of Pawan Kalyan's "Hari Hara Veera Mallu" faced an unexpected disruption today as a massive crowd gathered at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, forcing the cancellation of its screening at that specific venue. The decision was made due to safety concerns, particularly in light of the tragic "Pushpa 2" stampede incident that occurred at the same location last year.

Fans swarmed the iconic Sandhya Theatre at RTC X Roads yesterday, eager to collect entry passes for the trailer screening event. The immense excitement surrounding Power Star Pawan Kalyan's pan-India period action drama led to an uncontrollable gathering, necessitating police intervention to manage the situation and prevent potential mishaps.

Safety First: Recalling the "Pushpa 2" Tragedy

With the crowd escalating rapidly, and keeping public safety paramount, the theatre management opted to call off the screening at Sandhya Theatre. This cautious approach comes after the December 4, 2024, "Pushpa 2: The Rule" premiere outside the same venue. That incident saw a frenzied surge of fans reacting to Allu Arjun's presence, leading to a stampede-like situation where a 35-year-old woman, Revathi, tragically lost her life, and her eight-year-old son, Sri Teja, was critically injured.

Trailer Still to Be Screened Elsewhere

While the Sandhya Theatre screening is off, fans across Hyderabad will still get to experience the much-hyped glimpse of "Hari Hara Veera Mallu" on the big screen. The trailer is set to be released on multiple other selected theatres across the city as originally planned.

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, "Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 - Sword vs Spirit" is one of the most ambitious projects in Pawan Kalyan's career. The film stars Nidhhi Agerwal as the leading lady, with Bollywood actor Bobby Deol portraying the formidable Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. The pan-India film is slated for a theatrical release on July 26.
