Mahavatar Narsimha, an animated mythological epic directed by Ashwin Kumar, has made waves at the Hindi box office during its opening weekend. The film opened at ₹1.35 crore on Friday, surged to ₹3.25 crore on Saturday—a 150% jump—and then climbed another 110% on Sunday, delivering an impressive weekend total of ₹11.35 crore in Hindi alone.

This represents a remarkable 400% increase compared to its opening day performance, underscoring strong word-of-mouth and growing audience traction. On platform BookMyShow, ticket sales crossed half a million within three days—586.9K tickets sold, including 87K on Friday, 209K on Saturday, and nearly 233K on Sunday.

Analysts say the Hindi version accounts for the bulk of the collections thanks to its emotional resonance and mythological themes. The regional versions (Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam) had a more modest start but are gradually picking up steam.

Produced by Hombale Films and Kleem Productions, Mahavatar Narsimha marks the first installment of the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, with future releases planned—Parshuram (2027), Raghunandan (2029), Dhawkadhesh (2031), Gokulananda (2033), and a two-part Kalki finale in 2035–37.
