The upcoming Telugu film Kuberaa, starring Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Jim Sarbh, has created major buzz ahead of its theatrical release. Directed by Sekhar Kammula, the big-budget spectacle has now gone through the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with significant edits.
19 Scenes Deleted by CBFC
According to Andhra Box Office, the CBFC trimmed a total of 19 scenes, amounting to 13 minutes and 41 seconds of footage. Kuberaa has received a UA 13+ rating. The cuts reportedly involve sequences featuring:
- Dhanush as Deva
- Rashmika Mandanna as Sameera
- Nagarjuna as Deepak
- Jim Sarbh as Neeraj
One notable deleted scene includes Deva, Sameera, and Deepak traveling in a cab, along with other visual and dialogue-based cuts.
Ticket Pricing in Hyderabad
Pre-bookings for Kuberaa are already live in Hyderabad with dynamic pricing in effect:
- Single screens: ₹150–₹175
- Multiplexes: ₹250–₹295
OTT Pressure From Amazon Prime Video
Amazon Prime Video has acquired the streaming rights for Kuberaa. However, the producers recently revealed they’re under pressure from the OTT platform to stick to the planned June 20 release date. Reportedly, ₹10 crore could be deducted from the deal if there's a delay.
