Kesari 2 Pre-Booking Report: Solid Opening Expected on Day 1

"Kesari Chapter 2," featuring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday, is gearing up for release this Friday, coinciding with the Good Friday holiday. The film's initial indicators point toward a promising opening at the domestic box office.

Producers initiated early screenings on Wednesday in key urban centers — Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. Tickets for these preview shows were quickly snapped up, reflecting positive public interest.

General advance booking for the nationwide release started on Tuesday. As of 10 a.m. IST Wednesday, the film had already sold more than 3,000 tickets across India, accumulating approximately Rs 9 lakh in gross revenue, not accounting for blocked seats. Around 1,800 shows are currently available for pre-booking. The average ticket price is below Rs 250.

The National Capital Region is leading the pre-sale numbers, followed by Mumbai. At the state level, Delhi and Maharashtra show the strongest demand.

While "Kesari Chapter 2" is expected to benefit from the holiday release and the legacy of its predecessor "Kesari" (2019), it falls within the courtroom drama genre and holds an 'A' certificate, potentially limiting its reach. Nevertheless, industry watchers suggest that a first-day pre-sale range between Rs 4-5 crore would be a favorable launch, especially if supported by strong word-of-mouth after release.
