The period action drama has now outperformed the original Kantara and beaten the lifetime collections of hits like Kamal Haasan’s Vikram and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

Domestic collections:
The first chapter of Kantara had a tremendous opening in India and did so well through the weekdays. On Monday, it saw a small dip and on Tuesday, the films bounced back to earn ₹290.25 crore net (₹348 crore gross) within the first six days in the country.
Overseas collections:
Internationally, the film has made over $7 million in six days, contributing to a worldwide total of ₹414 crore, with more growth expected as the first week concludes.
🏆 Milestones and Records
On Sunday, the film exceeded KGF Chapter 1's lifetime domestic collections.
By Tuesday, it out-grossed the original Kantara, which had earned ₹408 crores worldwide, to become the second-highest-grossing Kannada film after KGF Chapter 1 (₹1,250 crores).
Kantara Chapter 1 also crossed Vikram (₹413 crore) and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 (₹411 crore), giving it a potential strong window to cross ₹1,000 crore on the global stage and make it one of the biggest Indian releases of the year.
