Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Collection: Rishab Shetty’s Film Poised to Surpass Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava Lifetime Record

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 continues its dream run at the box office and is now on the verge of overtaking Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s Chhaava in lifetime collections.

The mythological action-drama, directed by and starring Rishab Shetty, hit theatres on October 2, 2025, clashing with Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Despite the competition, Kantara: Chapter 1 has emerged as the clear winner, attracting audiences across India and overseas.

Kantara: Chapter 1 to Cross Chhaava’s Lifetime Collection Soon

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Chhaava earned ₹601.54 crore (India net), while Kantara: Chapter 1 has already amassed ₹559.06 crore, including day 22’s early numbers. At this pace, the Rishab Shetty-starrer is set to surpass Chhaava’s lifetime record within the coming days.

English Version Releasing Worldwide on October 31

Amid the film’s roaring success, Rishab Shetty announced that the English version of Kantara: Chapter 1 will hit theatres globally on October 31, 2025. The version will have a runtime of 2 hours, 14 minutes, and 45 seconds.

Sharing the news on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote,

“A divine saga that resonates beyond borders and languages! Kantara Chapter 1 English Version releasing in cinemas worldwide from October 31st. Experience the epic journey of faith, culture, and devotion in all its glory.”

Rishab Shetty on the North vs South Debate

In an earlier interview with Times Now’s Navika Kumar, Rishab Shetty addressed the North vs South industry comparison, saying,
