The Indian cinema's standard mythological action-drama co-produced and featuring Rishab Shetty, the man who wrote and directed it, keeps winning across languages—Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada—still remained unchallenged by Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Its multi-language release has significantly boosted its overall collection and reach.
After a record-breaking opening week of ₹337 crore, Kantara: Chapter 1 earned ₹22.25 crore on its second Friday, followed by ₹39 crore on Saturday and ₹40 crore on Sunday. In the Hindi belt, the film’s numbers are steady but modest compared to its dominance in South India. Karnataka remains the strongest market, with exceptional earnings in Mysore and other major cities.
Overseas, Kantara: Chapter 1 has grossed over $11 million, marking a landmark achievement for a Kannada film. However, the Hindi version’s overseas performance has been underwhelming, closing at around $1 million.
