Indian Idol 15 Finale: Manasi Ghosh Lifts Trophy, Beats 2 Finalists

Manasi Ghosh has emerged as the winner of Indian Idol Season 15, taking home the trophy along with a prize of Rs 25 lakh. Ghosh secured the top spot, defeating fellow finalists Subhajit Chakraborty and Sneha Shankar in the grand finale.

The announcement was made on social media by Sony Entertainment Television, the broadcaster of the show, with a celebratory post featuring Ghosh holding the trophy. The post highlighted her journey and fan following accumulated over the course of the season.

Ghosh, who had earlier finished as the runner-up in Super Singer Season 3, expressed her disbelief after the announcement, stating that the victory still hadn’t fully sunk in. She described the moment as surreal and emotional, especially with her family present at the finale. Speaking to media, she said, “My parents were overwhelmed with emotion. They were crying and cheering. I felt blank initially, but I’m grateful for everything.”

Speaking about her plans for the prize money, Ghosh revealed her intention to invest a portion of it in producing independent music and purchasing a new car.

The finale also featured a segment where Manasi's parents joined her on stage. They recounted her childhood memories and highlighted the hardships she faced. They shared that Manasi had supported the family financially from a young age and had once promised to buy them homes when she could.

Judged by Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani, and Badshah, the 15th season of Indian Idol saw a mix of emotional performances and high-level competition throughout its run. The finale was hosted by Aditya Narayan, with special appearances from Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Mika Singh.

Although Manasi Ghosh won the title, Sneha Shankar also secured a significant opportunity during the finale, signing a music deal with T-Series, adding another milestone to the night.
