Sunita Ahuja’s alleged divorce petition sparks buzz; insider claims Govinda’s marriage remains intact.
Sunita Ahuja Divorce Reports Circulate, Govinda’s Inner Circle Counters Claims

Rumours about Govinda divorcing his wife, Sunita Ahuja, have resurfaced — but a close family friend insists the couple is not headed for a permanent split.
Insider denies separation claims ❌
A trusted confidant of the actor told this publication that while Govinda and Sunita have faced intense disagreements, including what were described as “violent fights,” their 38-year marriage remains strong.
“They have their ups and downs. Tell me, which couple doesn’t? Govinda would never leave Sunita. She anchors him. Without her, he would be lost,” the friend said.
The source added that during conflicts, Govinda sometimes moves temporarily to another home but always returns once tensions ease.
Divorce reports surface again 📄
Speculation reignited after documents obtained by Hauterrfly alleged that Sunita Ahuja filed for divorce on December 5, 2024, at the Bandra Family Court, citing adultery, cruelty, and desertion under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act (1955).
The report claimed the court issued multiple notices to Govinda, with counselling sessions beginning in June 2025. Sunita reportedly attended hearings in person, while it remains unclear if Govinda joined virtually.
Public appearances and past denials 🎥
Despite the swirling speculation, Govinda appeared calm at Mumbai airport last evening, even blowing kisses to the paparazzi in his first outing since the rumours intensified.
This is not the first time the couple has dismissed separation talk. Back in February 2025, Sunita emphatically told the media:
“If anyone in this world dares to separate me and Govinda, let them come forward.”
Marriage remains under watch 🔎
While legal proceedings may be underway, those closest to the actor believe the couple will reconcile as they have many times before. “Even if matters have gone to court — and I’m not saying they have — they will sort things out,” Govinda’s friend reiterated.
