Exciting buzz on Akhanda 2 teaser and possible change in release date

The Telugu film industry is abuzz with news about Akhanda 2: Thandavam, one of the most awaited sequels this year, featuring veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, recipient of the Padma Bhushan award. Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the movie is expected to mark a significant milestone in Balakrishna’s career and has attracted widespread attention from fans.

Industry insiders reveal the film’s teaser, approximately 110 seconds in length, has already been completed. Balakrishna is reported to have dubbed his dialogues for both Telugu and Hindi versions before departing for Georgia to shoot the film’s climax. The teaser is slated to drop on June 10, 2025, coinciding with Balakrishna’s birthday, as a special surprise for the audience.

Speculation is mounting around the film’s release date. While the initial plan set the premiere for September 25, 2025, recent reports suggest a possible postponement to Pongal 2026. Sources indicate that the delay might be to avoid clashing with the release of Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG, which is also expected to hit theaters on the same September date. An official statement confirming the final release schedule has not yet been issued.

The film features leading actresses Pragya Jaiswal and Samyuktha in key roles, supported by a strong ensemble cast. Produced by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, Akhanda 2: Thandavam also boasts a soundtrack composed by Thaman, adding to the film’s appeal.
