Pawan Kalyan’s highly anticipated film They Call Him OG hits theaters today, marking a major release in Telugu cinema. Directed by Sujeeth and produced by D.V.V. Danayya under DVV Entertainment, the movie features Pawan Kalyan alongside Emraan Hashmi, Omi Bhau, Priyanka Mohan, Kanmani, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy, and Gambheera.
The film centers on the story of gangster Ojas Gambheera, also known as OG, who returns to Bombay after a decade-long disappearance, triggering a series of dramatic events.
Early box office figures indicate a historic performance. Paid premiere sales alone are reported at Rs 20-25 crore, surpassing previous records and setting a new benchmark for advance screenings. Comparatively, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 had generated around Rs 12 crore from its paid previews.
Initial collections show They Call Him OG raked in approximately Rs 60 crore on its opening day, including paid previews. Analysts predict that the film could amass close to Rs 80 crore across India over the opening weekend. Global revenue expectations are equally high, with industry experts forecasting a total collection of around Rs 115 crore.
