Ranveer Singh's most recent action-thriller Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, has made a box office debut that was very successful, surpassing ₹100 crores in India and ₹140 crores worldwide only in its first weekend. The spectacular underworld drama attracted a big audience not only in metro areas but also in small towns, and it outperformed other releases in the process.
Initial predictions indicate that Dhurandhar had a net worth of ₹99.50 crore in India and a gross of ₹119 crores at the end of its first weekend, which was greatly aided by positive buzz. The film saw a massive rise on Sunday, reporting more than 53% total Hindi occupancy and reaching over 70% in the afternoon and evening shows.
Internationally, the film continued its momentum, earning over ₹21 crore from overseas markets, including a $2 million debut in North America—placing it among the top weekend earners at the US box office.
The film’s strong start has also given it an edge over romantic drama Tere Ishk Mein, which reached a net total of ₹99.75 crore after its first week.
Featuring Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan and Rakesh Bedi, Dhurandhar follows an intricate web of criminals, informants and covert operatives navigating betrayal, espionage and high-stakes conflict.
