Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 2: Ranveer Singh’s Action Drama Races Past ₹50 Crore in Just Two Days

Ranveer Singh’s latest action entertainer Dhurandhar is off to a stellar start at the box office, overcoming pre-release controversies and opening-weekend negativity. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has already crossed the ₹50 crore mark within two days, outperforming the star’s previous hit, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

According to early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk, Dhurandhar collected ₹31 crore on Day 2 (Saturday), showing a strong jump from its ₹27 crore Day 1 opening. This brings the film’s total domestic earnings to ₹58 crore in just 48 hours.

Strong Occupancy Across Shows

The high-octane action drama recorded an overall 39.63% occupancy on Saturday:

• Morning shows: 17.26%
• Afternoon shows: 35.46%
• Evening shows: 42.65%
• Night shows: 63.16%

Pune emerged as the top-performing region with 49.50% occupancy. With increasing show counts and strong word of mouth among action lovers, Dhurandhar is expected to touch the ₹100 crore mark within days.

Outperforming Ranveer’s Previous Releases

Ranveer Singh’s last theatrical release, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, earned ₹11.1 crore on Day 1 and ₹16.05 crore on Day 2, eventually closing at around ₹182 crore in India. In comparison, Dhurandhar is performing significantly better, registering the third-biggest opening of 2025, trailing only War 2 and Chhaava.

Trade analysts expect the film to soon break into Ranveer Singh’s top 10 highest-grossing films.

Critical Reception Remains Mixed

Despite its box office momentum, Dhurandhar has drawn mixed to negative reviews. SCREEN’s review noted, “Most of the time, Dhurandhar is all about which of the three ageing hunks—Ranveer Singh as Hamza, Arjun Rampal as ISI officer Major Iqbal, and Sanjay Dutt as encounter specialist Choudhary Aslam—can endure and dish out the most blood and gore.”
