Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 2: Ranveer Singh’s Action Drama Crosses ₹30 Crore, Beats ‘Saiyaara’, Targets Bigger Weekend Growth

With the release of his latest action drama Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh has set the box office for December ablaze and has already gone past the ₹30 crore mark in just two days. The Aditya Dhar's film, based on real-life incidents like the Kandahar Hijack and the Mumbai attacks of 26/11, has become the second-highest opener of 2025, generating the maximum buzz among the viewers and the trade.
As per the initial forecasts, Dhurandhar Day 1 witnessed a net collection of ₹27 crore and during Day 2 ₹6.9 crore has been added to the collection with a total of ₹33.9 crore being the total for India. The film's word of mouth is strong and it is also seeing an increase in the audience, so it will likely build even more momentum as the weekend goes on.
Even more impressive is that Dhurandhar has taken over the opening numbers of 2025's blockbuster film ‘Saiyaara’. The Mohit Suri-directed flick featuring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda previously held the title for the second highest opener of the year at ₹21.9 crore net. But it is the combination of Ranveer's gritty performance and the film's captivating storyline that has propelled Dhurandhar forward.
However, the opening of the year that is still the biggest goes to the historical war epic starring Vicky Kaushal, who remains at the top with ₹31 crore net and ₹37.25 crore gross.
Dhurandhar has an impressive cast that includes Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Rakesh Bedi. They are the ones whose performances give substance and intensity to the story revolving around the terrible and shocking episodes of India’s terrorism.
