Bollywood legend Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89 at his home, just two weeks shy of his 90th birthday. The veteran actor, recently discharged from the hospital, had been recovering under home care, with family and fans hoping for his speedy return to health.

Tragically, the world lost the evergreen star, but not before his fans got one final emotional glimpse and sound of him. The poster of his last film, Ikkis, released just before his passing, features Dharmendra’s unmistakable voice. In it, he says, “My elder son Arun will always remain 21.” The caption shared by Maddock Films reads, “Fathers raise sons. But great men advance the nation. Dharmendra ji will be seen as the father of a 21-year-old soldier. He is an emotional powerhouse in the film. This evergreen legend will narrate the story of another legend to us.”

Srisharam Raghvan directed a film under the banner of Dinesh Vijan - Maddhbck Production House, Ikis, features Dharamendra as a father character for Arun Khetarpal, a braveheart who laid down his life serving India at just 21 years of age, thereby becoming immortal in the annals of history. Thus, the film reflects the glory of courage in war as well as narrates the sentimental story of a father who nurtured his brave son and was bathed in disappointment when the hero fell a martyr.
