During a promotional event for their 2015 film Tamasha, a light-hearted moment from the event resurfaced online and quickly went viral. In the clip, an audience member threw Deepika a tricky question: who, according to her, is the better actor — Ranbir Kapoor or her then-boyfriend Ranveer Singh?

Without missing a beat, Deepika gracefully responded, "Yeah, it's like saying do you prefer your mother or your father. You know, it’s like..." Before she could finish, Ranbir Kapoor playfully added, "I want to be the father," leaving the audience in splits.
