Day 5 Box Office Update: ‘Dhurandhar’ Starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna Crosses Rs 130 Crore

On his way to inventing yet another subplot, the character Ranveer Singh looked up to the chart simply because with the release of the awry Dhurandhar, Ranveer beat highest-ever opening film by himself and decided to compare it with its own Padmaavat’s achievements and subsequently Simmba. Directed by Aditya Dhar, it has Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal for this lovely brisk but introducing child star Sara Arjun is also quite interesting.

Weekend Growth and Monday Watching

Dhurandar indeed had a huge buzz all around from day one, and it reflects in the business collections. The film earned 28 crore on its release on December 3. It saw a 14% growth on Saturday and earned 32 crore on Day 2. Sunday saw a phenomenal rise towards the end of year 2021, with collections zooming to 43 crores, showing a fabulous 34% growth. On Monday the movie lost hold again but with 23 crores, which is regarded as strong due to daytime coverage.

Despite the buzz on social sites and viral tracks, the opening week of the movie is predicted to show double-digit collections.
