The excitement around Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming action drama They Call Him OG is reaching new heights as the makers unveiled a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video, officially kicking off the countdown to release. Directed by Sujeeth, the gangster-action thriller has been one of the most anticipated Telugu films of the year.
BTS Video Sparks Hype
The makers took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a special BTS reel packed with intense moments and glimpses from the sets. “YES, the countdown is on…5 days to go for the celebration of #OG…The hysteria will hit FIRESTORM LEVEL tomorrow. Stay tuned. #OGTrailer #TheyCallHimOG,” they wrote.
The trailer is set to launch on September 21, while the film will hit theatres worldwide on September 25, 2025.
Telangana Govt Sanctions Special Premiere
Adding to the buzz, the Telangana government issued a GO permitting a special premiere on September 24, a day before the theatrical release. Tickets for the premiere will be priced at ₹800.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh has only cleared shows starting 1 AM on September 25, with ticket prices pegged at ₹1,000.
The Telangana government has also approved a temporary ticket price hike from September 25 to October 4:
- Single screens: ₹100 higher (₹277 average)
- Multiplexes: ₹150 higher (₹445 average)
The order has stirred debate among fans on social media, with many expressing concerns over the difference in rules between the two states.
New Poster Unveiled on Pawan Kalyan’s Birthday
On the Power Star’s birthday, the makers treated fans with a striking new poster of Pawan Kalyan in a rugged maroon shirt and black pants, seated on a car bonnet. Fans flooded social media with birthday wishes, calling him their “inspiration.” Director Sujeeth also shared the poster, writing an emotional tribute to the star.
