Business Proposal Stars Return With New Projects in 2025-26
Ahn Hyo Seop and Kim Sejeong star in new K-dramas and films in 2025-26, from fantasy and rom-com to historical drama. Here’s what fans can expect.

Actor Ahn Hyo Seop and actress Kim Sejeong, well-known for their roles in the hit romantic comedy series Business Proposal, will soon appear in a slate of upcoming South Korean dramas and films set for release in 2025 and 2026. The on-screen pair continues to attract widespread fan interest, years after their breakout success on Netflix.
Ahn Hyo Seop is set to play the lead role in the fantasy action film Omniscient Reader, an adaptation of the popular webtoon of the same name by Shin Song. He takes on the character Kim Dokja, an ordinary office employee and the sole follower of a web novel titled Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World. The plot shifts dramatically when Dokja's real-life merges with the fictional dystopian world of the novel.
In the new universe, Dokja crosses paths with Yoo Joonghyuk (played by Lee Min Ho), the central figure of the novel, who has the ability to return to the beginning of the apocalypse each time he dies. Together, they must navigate a collapsing reality in both realms. This film marks Ahn's debut on the big screen and includes a strong ensemble featuring Chae Soo Bin, BLACKPINK's Jisoo, Shin Seung Ho, Nana, and Park Ho San. Omniscient Reader is scheduled for theatrical release in July 2025 in South Korea.
Kim Sejeong is set to headline the historical series The Moon Flows in This River, portraying a character named Park Dalyi, a woman suffering from memory loss. The storyline centers around Crown Prince Lee Kang (played by Kang Tae Oh), who loses his queen and chooses revenge over personal happiness.
The narrative unfolds as Dalyi and Lee Kang encounter one another, and their lives become complicated when they mysteriously switch bodies. The resemblance between Dalyi and the deceased queen raises questions and leads to further tension. The drama is slated for release in the latter half of 2025 and marks Kim Sejeong's first venture into the historical genre.
In 2026, Ahn Hyo Seop will return to the romantic comedy space with Sold Out Again Today, where he plays Matthew Lee, a rural farmer balancing three careers. In addition to cultivating a rare natural ingredient, he operates a cosmetics company and works as a product researcher.
Chae Won Bin stars opposite him as Dam Yejin, a television show host for a top home shopping network who struggles with insomnia caused by her demanding job. The two cross paths professionally, leading to an unlikely romance. Actor Kim Bum also joins the cast in a supporting role.
