BTS’ V, also known as Kim Taehyung, has once again proven his unmatched global influence. On August 17 (local time), the Los Angeles Dodgers announced that the K-pop superstar will throw the ceremonial first pitch at Dodger Stadium on August 25, ahead of the team’s clash with the Cincinnati Reds.

The news sent fans into a frenzy, causing the MLB website to crash within minutes as ARMY rushed to book tickets to witness the historic moment.

V trades his mic for a baseball glove

With this, V becomes the third BTS member to throw a ceremonial pitch. Jungkook first did so in 2017, followed by J-Hope in 2024. The upcoming Dodgers game marks V’s official baseball pitch debut, adding yet another milestone to his already iconic career.

Interestingly, two days later on August 27, V’s close friend and football star Son Heung-min, who recently joined LAFC, will also take the mound at Dodger Stadium for a ceremonial pitch.
