BTS star V is already making waves after his military discharge on June 10. Just over a week into civilian life, he’s been busy with dance reels, concerts, golf, and piano recitals. On June 19, he surprised fans with a secret voice cameo on Kim Jong Kook’s YouTube show, sparking excitement across social media.
In the latest episode of Gym Jong Kook, host Kim Jong Kook and guests Haha, his son Dream, and bodybuilder Ma Sun Ho celebrated Haha’s new album Sunny Day. When Kim jokingly asked for congratulations, V’s voice popped up with a warm message: “Congrats on the album, Haha hyung,” alongside a thumbs-up—though he didn’t appear on camera. Fans quickly recognized the iconic voice, and Haha’s joyful reaction, including a subtle V-sign, confirmed V’s cameo.
Kim Jong Kook tried to keep the team focused, but the group couldn’t stop waving at V’s presence. Haha even sent a playful “Taehyung, take care” to the hidden star. Despite just a voice cameo, V stole the spotlight and fueled fan anticipation for his next, possibly more muscular, appearance.
V and Haha’s friendship spans over a decade. Back in 2015, V praised Haha’s song Story of a Short Kid on BTS’ social media, calling it a source of comfort in his youth. On the show, Haha fondly referred to V as “the one who gave a shout-out to my song on Twitter.”
BTS ARMY eagerly awaits what’s next for V, hoping for more surprises on Kim Jong Kook’s channel soon.
