BTS Live: Jimin, Jungkook Share Funny Army Moments

BTS members Jimin and Jungkook made their first public appearance together since concluding their mandatory military service, engaging directly with fans in a live session on Weverse. Their conversation offered candid insights into military routines, adjustments, and personal growth during enlistment.

Jimin addressed his physical transformation, noting that he gained about 10 kilograms while serving with the 5th Infantry Division. He attributed the increase to a carb-rich military diet. Though he had maintained a strict eating regimen before enlistment, the high-energy environment and heavily loaded meal trays influenced his dietary habits.

"I started running early in the mornings to fix what I thought was puffiness," Jimin said, later realizing the weight gain stemmed more from consistent high-calorie meals than water retention. Jungkook echoed the sentiment, pointing out the carbohydrate-heavy nature of the provided food. "Even the side dishes had carbs," he said with a laugh.

The livestream sparked a flood of support from ARMY members across the globe. Fans reacted with encouragement, light-hearted jokes about the meal trays, and expressed appreciation for the duo's openness.

Both singers officially concluded their military obligations on June 11, following RM and V, who completed theirs just a day earlier. Member SUGA remains in public service duty, with his discharge scheduled for June 21.

The appearance comes on the heels of the "2025 BTS FESTA" event held at KINTEX, Goyang, which welcomed over 60,000 attendees. Among the highlights was the "Voice Zone," where fans listened to pre-recorded messages from each member, hinting at reunions and future activities.

With the group’s military chapter nearing its end, anticipation is building for potential new releases and projects from BTS in the near future.
