BTS Jungkook’s famous ‘Choco Chip’ mole sparked fan panic after it seemed hidden in a recent live. Here’s why ARMYs were worried and how JK assured them it’s safe.
BTS Jungkook reassures fans as his famous ‘Choco Chip’ mole remains intact, sparking relief across ARMY fandom.

After many thought it had vanished, BTS member Jungkook's famous under-lip mole—fondly referred to by fans as his "Choco Chip"—caused an ARMY frenzy. Although there was a lot of worry on social media, the mole is safe and healthy.
Why the Army Was Concerned
In less than two hours, Jungkook's surprise Weverse live broadcast on August 30 drew 17.7 million viewers. He worked out, sang, showed off his new flat and even showed off his new piercings under his lip and on his ear.
Fans did notice something odd, though: his cherished under-lip mole was obscured. ARMYs were disappointed and concerned about the possibility of its disappearance because it has long been regarded as one of his most attractive features.
Fans are relieved that Mole is still alive.
Jungkook celebrated his birthday with fans by going live once more on September 1, just a few days later. The presence of the mole was confirmed when ARMYs with keen eyes saw it shining through this time. Hashtags such as "Jungkook's mole is safe and alive" quickly became popular on the internet.
"Jungkook's choco chip mole was found healthy, safe, and looking very pretty under his lips," a fan wrote on social media. "I'm glad we didn't overreact—JK's mole is safe and sound," said another.
The Busy 2025 of Jungkook
After finishing his required military service in June 2025, Jungkook remains active despite viral mole trends. Along with fellow members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and V, he is currently getting ready for BTS's 2026 comeback album.
