Global K-pop sensation BTS is reportedly in the early stages of preparing for a major comeback in Spring 2026, and as part of that effort, the group will be stationed in the United States for the next two months, with no plans to return to South Korea during this period.
BTS Preps for Spring 2026 Album in the US
According to reports from Dispatch Korea, BTS will hold an intensive group song camp in the US as they begin work on their next full-length studio album. The upcoming release will mark the group's first studio album since 2020's Map of the Soul: 7 and their first full-group project in six years.
The album, set for a Spring 2026 release (between March and May), will be a collaborative effort among all seven members. The group will personally oversee its concept, direction, and song production. This comeback is expected to be followed by a world tour, as hinted by the members in a recent livestream.
Members' Movements and Solo Schedules
RM was the first to arrive in Los Angeles on July 6, followed by SUGA, Jimin, and Jungkook on July 7. V is expected to join the group after completing his Paris Fashion Week engagements with Celine. J-Hope and Jin will rejoin the team after finishing their ongoing solo schedules.
J-Hope is slated to headline Lollapalooza Berlin on July 13, while Jin will perform solo concerts in Osaka on July 12–13, followed by a US tour with stops in Anaheim, Dallas, and Tampa, and will also perform in London and Amsterdam in early August. He is expected to rejoin BTS in Los Angeles after wrapping up his solo commitments.
Global Influences and High Expectations
The group’s decision to collaborate with international producers during their US stay points to a globally influenced sound for the new album. Industry experts predict another chart-topping project, given BTS’ consistent history of dominating global charts. Map of the Soul: 7 previously topped the Billboard 200 and featured hits like “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey, and collaborations with artists like Troye Sivan.
With this new phase of creative collaboration, fans worldwide are eagerly anticipating what the record-breaking septet will deliver next.
