Fans were treated to some nostalgic "JinJiDo" moments this week, as BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and NCT’s Doyoung proved they’re still the ultimate besties to GOT7’s Jinyoung by showing their support for his upcoming film Hi.5.
On May 26, Jinyoung and the main cast of Hi.5 attended a press event in Seoul ahead of the film’s release. Adding a special touch to the occasion, Jisoo showed up in person to cheer for her longtime friend. Meanwhile, Doyoung, though unable to attend, shared his support via Instagram Stories, posting a shot of Jinyoung from the movie along with a link to the film’s teaser.
Their touching gestures didn’t go unnoticed by fans, many of whom have cherished the trio’s bond for years. Known collectively as "JinJiDo"—a nickname formed from the initials of Jinyoung, Jisoo, and Doyoung—the three first met and developed their friendship during their time as MCs for SBS’s Inkigayo from February 2017 to February 2018. Despite their busy solo schedules, their connection remains as strong as ever.
Jisoo’s Subtle Yet Sweet Appearance
A buzz sparked online when fans spotted a woman dressed in an oversized blue-and-white striped shirt, baggy jeans, and a red cap at the event—speculated to be none other than Jisoo herself. The understated outfit did little to distract fans from identifying her, with some even dreaming of seeing Jinyoung and Jisoo together in a future drama, perhaps even a cameo in Jisoo’s upcoming series Boyfriend on Demand.
Doyoung’s Digital Shout-Out
Though Doyoung couldn’t be there in person, he made sure to promote Hi.5 online, showing that distance doesn’t dim friendship. His Instagram story featuring a movie still and teaser link added the perfect virtual cheer, leading fans to fondly exclaim “my JinJiDo!” across social media.
With Hi.5 set to premiere in South Korean theaters on May 30, 2025, the unwavering friendship among Jinyoung, Jisoo, and Doyoung has made fans even more excited for the film. The trio’s small but meaningful gestures remind everyone that true friendship doesn’t fade with time.
2025 may have thrown us a few surprises, but “JinJiDo crumbs” definitely wasn’t on anyone’s bingo card—and no one’s complaining.
