BLACKPINK member Jennie has become the focus of online debate after a recent podcast episode made unverified claims linking her to inappropriate conduct, sparking public concern and calls for legal intervention.
During a recent episode of the podcast *Above The Influence*, a guest identified as entrepreneur and influencer Kira shared personal anecdotes, including claims about dating a K-pop idol. Without naming specific individuals, she alleged that high-profile female idols have been involved in transactional relationships with wealthy men.
The conversation took a more serious turn when co-host Woohak claimed to have direct knowledge related to BLACKPINK’s Jennie. According to his statement, he attended a summer camp with someone he described as "the son of the BMW heir" who allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with the idol, suggesting that payment was involved. He further asserted that he had seen a video that served as proof of the incident.
The reference to the BMW family pointed toward Stefan Quandt and Susanne Klatten, both heirs of the German automobile company. Susanne Klatten has two sons whose ages reportedly align with Woohak’s account. Despite the specificity of the reference, the claims remain unsubstantiated, and many online have questioned the validity of the story.
Screenshots and video clips of the podcast have circulated widely across platforms, especially TikTok, where users debated the credibility of the statements. One clip from TikTok user @vutony88 tagged popular idols, including Jennie, IU, G-Dragon, and referenced past rumors involving relationships among K-pop celebrities.
As of May 28, 2025, neither Jennie nor her agency YG Entertainment has issued an official statement in response to the podcast’s content. The silence has triggered a wave of public reactions, with fans and observers urging Jennie to pursue legal recourse to address the serious nature of the accusations.
Legal experts note that if the allegations are proven false and malicious, defamation lawsuits could be filed under South Korean law, particularly given the spread of the claims through digital media.
