The buzz around Bigg Boss 19 is getting louder as the show gears up for a dramatic and politically charged season. Hosted once again by Salman Khan, the reality show will return with a fresh power-play format, themed around politics, where housemates will be divided into “ruling party” and “opposition” camps battling for weekly leadership.
Jennifer Mistry Breaks Silence on Participation
Rumours recently linked Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, known for her role in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, to the upcoming season. However, the actress has denied any current involvement. Speaking to the media, she clarified, “I have no idea about this. I was approached last year, but not this year.”
Her former co-star Gurucharan Singh, however, is reportedly in talks with the makers and may join the contestant lineup.
Bigg Boss 19 Format and Theme
The politics-themed season will introduce new twists:
- Housemates split into two groups: Ruling Party vs Opposition
- Weekly elections to choose a “Leader” or “Sarkaar”, decided by ballot vote
- The elected leader assigns duties—including to rival team members
- Secret missions and team tasks will help earn rations
- No double beds this season; only 15 individual beds for 15 contestants
- Three wild card entries are expected to join later, and past contestants may make special appearances throughout the season.
Premiere Date and Streaming Details
Originally slated for an August 30 premiere, Bigg Boss 19 has been rescheduled due to Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. Salman Khan will now begin shooting on August 22 and 23, with the season launching shortly afterward.
