“Bhairavam” collected an estimated Rs 2.75 crore in India net on its opening day Friday, according to early industry figures. The Telugu-language thriller recorded a total of Rs 2.75 crore for Day 1 across domestic markets. Overseas and global tallies are pending confirmation.
The film registered a 25.56 per cent average occupancy across Telugu 2D screens on its debut day. Morning shows filled 25.58 per cent of seats, afternoon 26.99 per cent and evening 24.12 per cent. No night shows were reported.
Regional occupancy varied: Hyderabad led with 29.33 per cent overall (morning 29 per cent, afternoon 32 per cent, evening 27 per cent) across 339 shows. Guntur followed at 45 per cent (morning 43 per cent, afternoon 52 per cent, evening 40 per cent) in 29 shows. Visakhapatnam reached 38.33 per cent (morning 42 per cent, afternoon 42 per cent, evening 31 per cent) across 89 shows. Vijayawada, Warangal and Mahbubnagar saw 32.33 per cent, 33.33 per cent and 29 per cent overall, respectively. Lower turnout was recorded in Bengaluru (10.67 per cent), Chennai (22.5 per cent), NCR (9 per cent), Mumbai (5 per cent), Nizamabad (5.33 per cent) and Karimnagar (15.5 per cent). Kakinada showed 28 per cent occupancy in 29 shows.
Bhairavam’s opening performance sets the stage for its first weekend run. Trade analysts will track further growth in multiplex and single-screen circuits as word of mouth unfolds.
