Producer Dil Raju has addressed a speculation surrounding the potential third installment of the hit film Arya. While the 2004 film marked a turning point in Allu Arjun's career and director Sukumar’s signature storytelling style, its successor Arya 2 did not perform well commercially but later found a loyal fanbase.
Recently, industry chatter intensified after Dil Raju reportedly registered the title Arya 3 with the Film Chamber. This move sparked speculation that Ashish Reddy, his nephew, would play the lead role in the possible sequel. Online backlash quickly followed, with fans urging that only Allu Arjun should return as Arya.
Addressing the rumors during promotions for Thammudu, Dil Raju clarified that Ashish is not being considered for the lead in Arya 3. “An interesting concept emerged during a casual discussion with Sukumar,” he said. “It holds the kind of potential that could set trends, just like Arya did. The story is still in development. Once it's locked, the search for the suitable actor will begin. Ashish is not in the picture.”
The producer highlighted that the project is still in its early stages and no decisions have been made regarding casting or production schedules.
