All of Us Are Dead Season 2 Begins Production: New Outbreak Hits Seoul

New Delhi – Fans of the hit Korean zombie thriller "All of Us Are Dead" can rejoice! Streaming giant Netflix has officially announced that production has begun on the much-anticipated second season of the series.

Netflix shared the exciting news across its social media channels, teasing fans with what's to come. "Just when you thought you were back to normal life, a new zombie virus swallows Seoul. 'All of Us Are Dead' season two in production," the streamer posted on Instagram, accompanied by a teaser video.

"All of Us Are Dead," a young-adult series, first premiered on Netflix in 2022 and quickly became a global phenomenon. Based on the popular webtoon by Joo Dong-geun, the show captivated audiences worldwide, racking up over 560 million viewing hours on Netflix within just 28 days of its debut. The first season followed a group of high school students desperately trying to survive a deadly zombie outbreak that transformed their peers.

The second season will see the return of familiar faces, including Park Ji-hu, Yoon Chan-young, Cho Yi-hyun, and Lomon.

New Faces and a Spreading Outbreak

Adding to the excitement, new cast members are set to join the fight for survival. Lee Min-jae, Yoon Ga-i, and "Squid Game" actors Kim Si-eun and Roh Jae-won will be introduced as the zombie outbreak spreads to a new location, forcing a fresh group of characters into the deadly conflict.

Netflix also provided an official logline for the upcoming season, giving a glimpse into the new storyline: "After surviving the catastrophic zombie outbreak at Hyosan High, Nam On-jo, played by Park Ji-hu, is now a university student in Seoul, struggling to move on from the trauma and the friends she lost. But when a new wave of infection suddenly hits Seoul, she finds herself trapped in another deadly fight for survival — this time without the people she once depended on."

The second season will be helmed by Lee JQ and Kim Nam-su, who successfully directed the first season, ensuring continuity in the show's intense and gripping style. The script is penned by Chun Sung-il, known for his work on popular dramas like "King the Land" and "Your Honor."
