Akshay Kumar recently unveiled a new poster for his highly anticipated film, "Oh My God 2," along with the announcement of its release date. The movie is set to hit theaters on August 11. In the poster, Akshay Kumar is seen in the portrayal of Lord Shiva, with his face smeared in ash. He is dressed in a traditional dhoti, adorned with a bead necklace around his neck, and dons knee-length dreadlocks.

Sharing the poster on social media, Akshay Kumar wrote, "Aa rahe hain hum, aaiyega aap bhi" (We are coming, you should join us). The fans of Akshay Kumar enthusiastically responded to the poster with chants of "Har Har Mahadev" in the comments section. One fan even wrote, "Aap aaye aur ham na aaye… Ye thodi na koi bat hai sir" (You are coming, and we won't miss it – that's obvious). Another fan commented, "Bhai log ye pakka blockbuster hogi" (Brother, this will surely be a blockbuster).

Akshay Kumar had previously shared his first look as Lord Shiva in 2021. However, the film's release was delayed, likely due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Alongside the poster featuring his character as Shiva, he wrote, "'Karta kare na kar sake shiv kare so hoye' (If you can't do it, you can't do it, Shiva does it)." He sought the blessings and well wishes of his fans for "Oh My God 2," describing it as an honest and humble attempt to shed light on an important social issue. He also expressed his hope that the eternal energy of Adiyogi (another name for Lord Shiva) would bless the film's journey.

Recently, Akshay Kumar visited the Badrinath Temple in Uttarakhand, indicating that certain portions of the film are being shot in the state. He shared a video on Instagram, capturing the breathtaking scenery from his chopper ride over the mountains. He captioned it, "The good fortune of shooting in devbhoomi Uttarakhand!! On my way to Shri Badrinath dham. Absolutely amazing. No words. Jai Badri Vishaal!"

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, "Oh My God 2" will revolve around the Indian education system, exploring topics such as exam pressures and college admissions. Joining Akshay Kumar and Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi will also play a significant role in the film.

With the much-anticipated release date announcement and the intriguing premise of the film, fans and movie enthusiasts are eagerly looking forward to witnessing the magic of "Oh My God 2" unfold on the big screen.
