Nandamuri Balakrishna 's 'Akhanda 2' is going to have a grand release worldwide in a few hours. It is being brought to theaters in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages along with Telugu. With the success of 'Akhanda', which came out four years ago, expectations are now high on its sequel. This movie, which was made with a huge budget, had a strong pre-release business. Ticket rates have become crucial to recover it. While permission has already been given to increase ticket rates in AP, permission has recently been given in Telangana as well.
The Andhra Pradesh government has given permission to increase ticket prices for the movie 'Akhanda 2: Tandavam' for ten days. Since the government is theirs, they immediately issued a special GO without much haste or discussion. They have provided an additional increase of Rs. 75 in single screens and Rs. 100 in multiplexes, including GST. They have also given permission to hold premiere shows the night before, in addition to five games per day. Premieres were given a hike of Rs. 600 including GST. Although the recent Deputy Chief Minister's 'OG' and 'Hari Hara Veeramallu' movies are not in the range, the Hindupuram MLA movie has received good rates in AP.
The Revanth Reddy government has given the green signal to increase the ticket prices of 'Akhanda 2' in Telangana state as well. However, there are some conditions here. If additional rates and benefit shows are given for any movie.. 20 percent of them will have to be allocated to the charity of film workers. The government gives special permissions with hikes if it is okay with this. Now it seems that ticket prices have been given with the condition that 20 percent will be given to charity for Balakrishna's movie as well. There is a possibility that the government will issue a JIO with details regarding the increase in ticket prices in single screens and multiplexes. Based on that, advance bookings will be fully open in Telangana.
