Akhanda 2 Postponed: Producer Suresh Babu Speaks Up about Financial Problems

Producer Suresh Babu has at last replied to the increasing rumors about the postponement of ‘Akhanda 2’, saying that the speculation is “unfortunate” and “unnecessary”. When attending the audio launch of ‘Psych Siddhartha’, the veteran producer discussed the matter and assured the fans that the delays are not for good.

Suresh Babu Remarks: "Akhanda 2 Concerns Will Be Fixed Shortly"

He expressed that he was only returning from discussions targeted at pushing the matter through that is why he was late to the event. He also confirmed that the delay was a result of financial issues which he thinks should not have been publicly exaggerated to this extent.

Akhanda 2 will undoubtedly be cleared of issues shortly, and it is all a matter of finance. Unfortunately, people are spreading just as much as they want about internal monetary issues. A lot are offering explanations for the delay - they are saying that we have to pay crores, which is all a talk that is not necessary. The viewers are very much looking forward to it, and the movie will be out soon.”

He went on to say that such obstacles are not new in the film world:

“There have been many films that have dealt with similar last-minute problems in the past. It is nothing rare.”

What Caused Akhanda 2's Postponement?

The Balakrishna starrer and Boyapati Srinu's directorial was set for release originally on December 5.

Though, because a very unavoidable last-minute financial issue popped up, the team had no other choice but to push back the release.

The fans' disillusionment was the price for the film's delay since the audience expecting the sequel was long but, Suresh Babu’s explanation has at least relieved somewhat - because it has assured that the resolution will be soon.

The Fans’ Wait Goes On

The filmmakers haven’t revealed the new release date yet; however, they have promised that Akhanda 2 will be back on its course as soon as the internal matters are resolved. With a lot of anticipation on the Balakrishna-Boyapati pairing, fans are expecting an update very soon.
