Akhanda 2 Netflix Release Date Confirmed: Balakrishna’s Superhero Returns
Akhanda 2 to stream on Netflix in Jan 2026, a month after theatrical release. Boyapati Sreenu and Balakrishna bring superhero action with rituals & mysticism.

K. Raghavendra Rao's Boyapati Sreenu directed Akhanda 2, a supernatural action thriller featuring Balakrishna, will be available on Netflix during the second week of January 2026. The digital release will be about four weeks after the movie's release in theaters on December 12.
The film which is a mix of patriotism, science fiction, and black magic, carries on the story of its 2021 predecessor. Distributor of Nizam region Dil Raju asserts that the two portrayals have made Balakrishna a pan-Indian superhero for sure.
The music of Akhanda 2 is credited to SS Thaman and it aligns with the film's concept of rituals and mysticism. Boyapati Sreenu, the director, talked about the changes in the hero’s character saying the hero is subjected to Ashta Digbandhana for twelve years and through that, he acquires Ashta Siddhi and eventually gets superhuman powers which makes him to be compared with a traditional hero.
