“Amazon centres across India, and Google centres across the country are being managed by Shankar Electricals at this point of time. The company takes care of the routine management of electrical equipment from transformers to air conditioners to UPS & generators and all other sophisticated equipment. We also provide plumbing and carpentry services. Another vertical of our company is into contract execution under which we execute large electrical contracts across India,” Shetty added.

SESIPL counts most global technology giants operating in India as its clients. Its track record has also helped it to associate with new technology players. For instance, the company has executed electrical projects for chip maker, Micron Technology’s data centre project in Hyderabad. As the footprint of IT services and manufacturing grows in India, SESIPL is confident of doubling its revenues to around Rs 1,000 crore in the next five years. “We are looking at employing around 10,000 people as our revenue grows in coming years,” Shetty said.

Moreover, the company has been leveraging emerging technologies like AI and data analytics in its project execution. His word of advice to budding entrepreneurs is that never give up as persistence wins.
