In an era where education enterprises are increasingly measured not just by academic outcomes but also by their socio-economic impact, the growth story of Resonance Educational Institutions in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh stands out as a compelling example of how vision-led leadership can generate both learning and livelihoods.

At the helm of this journey is Purnachandra Rao Narra, Managing Director of Resonance Educational Institutions (TG & AP), a focus-driven edupreneur and an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad. His personal journey mirrors the very transformation he has enabled within the organisation. Raised in a humble background and educated at a government school in Andhra Pradesh, Rao’s early exposure to grassroots realities shaped his deep respect for education as a tool of social mobility.

After gaining six years of professional experience with corporate giants such as the Reliance Group and The Times of India, he chose the path of entrepreneurship as a first-generation business leader. A teacher since his college days, Rao’s passion for mentoring young minds ultimately drew him back to education—this time, with a mission to build institutions that combine academic rigour with ethical values.

That mission took concrete shape in 2018, when Resonance began operations in Hyderabad with just two campuses, around 150 students, and a modest team of 50-plus teaching and non-teaching staff. Rather than chasing rapid expansion, the early focus was firmly on building academic culture, disciplined systems, and parental trust. Quality, consistency, and student-centricity were prioritised over scale.

17 years into his entrepreneurial journey—and seven years since Resonance entered Hyderabad—that measured approach has paid off handsomely. As of December 2025, Resonance trains over 20,000 students annually across a network of 50-plus campuses, making it a household name for quality education in the city and beyond. Recognising his contribution to the educational field, HMTV honoured Rao with Business Excellence Award.

More significantly, Resonance has emerged as a major employment generator in the education sector. What started with a few dozen staff members has grown into an organisation that today supports over 2,500 teaching and non-teaching professionals. Faculty members, academic designers, mentors, counsellors, administrators, technology teams, and support staff together form the backbone of a rapidly expanding academic ecosystem.

This employment growth has been driven by Resonance’s steady diversification within the K–12 education domain. From Junior Colleges, the group expanded into Resonance Schools, Integrated School Programs, Foundation Courses, and Resonance e-Learning, creating new roles across physical campuses and digital platforms alike. Each vertical required specialised talent, further multiplying job opportunities.

Under Rao’s leadership, academic integrity has remained central to this expansion. Centralised curriculum design, structured teaching methodologies, continuous assessments, and strong mentoring frameworks ensure consistency across centres. Regular faculty training and internal academic audits not only maintain quality but also create continuous professional development pathways for employees.

The organisation’s impact has been widely recognised, with 21-plus national and state-level awards, and Rao himself being acknowledged as one of the most promising education leaders in the Telugu states.
