A series of banking sector recruitment examinations across public and private institutions are scheduled to begin in August and continue through early 2026, offering graduate-level positions nationwide.
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will conduct its probationary officer (PO) preliminary test from Aug. 17, with online registration closing on July 21. The State Bank of India (SBI) PO preliminary exam is expected in late July or early August; candidates must apply by July 14.
Specialist officer (SO) aspirants for IBPS have until July 21 to submit applications for the Aug. 30 examination date. Meanwhile, the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) will hold its Grade A officer assessment on Sept. 6, with registration ending Aug. 6.
The Bank of Baroda has opened applications for its local banking officer (LBO) vacancies through July 25; examination dates will be announced in coming weeks.
Clerical posts under IBPS will see notifications in October, followed by preliminary tests on Dec. 6, 7, 13 and 14, and the main exam on Feb. 1, 2026.
Additional recruitment drives will cover the Life Insurance Corporation Housing Finance Ltd. (LIC HFL) apprentice exam, Federal Bank probationary officer selection and Central Bank of India apprentice hiring, among others.
Selection processes include written examinations, group discussions and interviews across institutions including Reserve Bank of India and regional rural banks.
