LIVE: Early Bihar Election Trends Hint at NDA Majority; Nitish Kumar Poised for Fifth Term

As the Bihar Election Result 2025 was being counted, and as widespread trends looked favorable for the NDA led by Nitish Kumar, it could be the fifth term for the staunch CA-Minister as the counting was going onward amidst the length and breadth of the state. On the other hand, the RJD-led INDIA bloc was seen further remotely as the first round progressed to a close sweep across.
Major Early Developments
1. Mahua Constituency:
In the multiple opposition-ridden territory of Mahua, Tej Pratap Yadav is in danger from the early trends. The seat, first won by him in 2015, is engaged in cutthroat completion among the incumbent RJD MLA Mukesh Kumar Raushan and LJP (Ram Vilas) candidate from Sanjay Kumar Singh.
It is considered to be a formidable signal to the JJD leader El No. 1, who is watching the political future of his son until the last moment.
Just guessing at it here, but who cares about the Alinagar constituency? Didn't anyone guess on this side, either? Again, Naveen Kishore, O K Aftab, Rahul Bhai Patel, and a host of local candidates were still hoping for a final outcome and also led a significant fight.
Across the State
According to the Election Commission's initial trends, JD(U) stands to become the largest single party, with the BJP following quite nearly. Meanwhile, the parties in Mahagathbandhan are trying very hard to keep pace but cannot, as the NDA is now forging ahead steadily.
So High-Turnout, High-Stakes!
High-voltage campaigning saw the two-phase Bihar poll this year producing a significant turnout of voters to one of the most intensely contested elections after many years. The focus now shifts toward whether the INDIA bloc will be able to absorb the NDA advancement or will move further under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.
