UPSC CSE 2024 topper Shakti Dubey secures Uttar Pradesh cadre as the official cadre allocation list is released.

The government of India’s Department of Personnel and Training, Public Grievances and Pensions has unambiguously unwrapped the cadre allotments for the applicants who selected the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) through the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024. Applicants are now able to verify their assigned cadre via the official site of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
The winner of this year’s competition, AIR 1 Shakti Dubey, has been assigned her native state Uttar Pradesh, on the other hand, AIR 2 Harshita Goyal who is from Haryana has been given the Gujarat cadre.
UPSC announced the CSE 2024 results on April, 22, 2025, with females holding all top five ranks. Among the 1,009 recommended candidates this year, males are 725 and females 284.

AIR 1 Shakti Dubey: A Remarkable Success Story
Originating from Muirabad, Prayagraj, Shakti Dubey has always been a high-flyer in academics. She graduated from Allahabad University, where she took her BSc in Biochemistry (2013–2016) and with her brilliant performance occupied the very first position in her group.
The University of Allahabad was proud of Shakti's success and pointed out that she had always been the best student in her class and the others would get encouraged by her success.
Prior to the postgraduate program, Shakti went to school and finished her undergraduate studies in Prayagraj and then did a postgraduate degree in Biochemistry at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in 2018. After completing her PG, she dove straight into the UPSC preparation.
What’s more, this was her fourth attempt at UPSC and she had already made it to the interview round for the first time which took place on March 14, 2025. Shakti not only got through but also bagged All India Rank 1, thereby becoming a beacon of hope for the thousands of aspirants across the country.
