The Telangana government has announced the 2026 holiday calendar, listing general and optional holidays for state employees.

The state of Telangana has done it and has disclosed the list of holidays for the year 2026. The list includes general and optional holidays that will be applied to all state government offices and employees.
The requirement placed on government offices in Telangana consisted of shutting down on Sundays and the second Saturdays of each month throughout the year. The holiday calendar would be inclusive of the festivals, national observance days, and major religious events but the workers would also be given opportunity to pick some of the non-mandatory holidays.

Important Notes
Optional holidays must be selected in advance as per departmental guidelines.
The Muslim holidays may change depending on the sighting of the moon.
For next year, there will be no extra holidays for workers and all changes in the holiday schedule will be made known through the government announcement.
It is the responsibility of the employee to adjust their vacations according to the calendar provided.
