Sushil Mungekar’s Program Turns Mumbai’s Public Schools Into Launchpads

Mumbai, Sep 30
Over the past four years, the Innovation Program by Mr. Sushil Bhalchandra Mungekar, Founder & CEO of ENpower, has transformed BMC and low-income schools into hubs of creativity and problem-solving.
What began in 2022 with just 3 schools has now scaled to 90 schools, engaging nearly 12,000 students in Mumbai and Talegaon.
Through initiatives like Kitaab Bazaar, students are role-playing as entrepreneurs, building confidence, resilience, and real-world problem-solving skills. In just one year, students at the lowest entrepreneurial competency levels dropped by 50%, while those at advanced levels more than doubled.
BMC students have already developed biodegradable sanitary pads, RFID-enabled smart carts, and AI-based wellness apps, proving that innovation belongs to every child.
“Every child deserves the opportunity to imagine, create, and lead change. Public schools are now becoming launchpads for future innovators,” said Mr. Sushil Mungekar.
