The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially opened applications for 25,487 General Duty (GD) Constable posts in CAPFs, SSF, and Rifleman (GD) roles in Assam Rifles for the 2026 recruitment cycle. The online registration process is now live on ssc.gov.in, with the written examination tentatively scheduled between February and April 2026. All selected candidates will receive a Level-3 pay scale of ₹21,700 to ₹69,100.

23,467 posts are reserved for male candidates
2,020 posts for female candidates

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Age: 18–23 years
- SC/ST: Up to 5 years relaxation
- OBC & Ex-servicemen: Up to 3 years relaxation
- Education: Passed Class 10 from a recognized board
- NCC Certificate Holder: Eligible for up to 5% incentive
Ex-servicemen include those who served in any rank (combatant or non-combatant) of the Regular Army, Navy, or Air Force under prescribed conditions.
