Gitam alumna Shivali sets record with 21 Guinness titles

Hyderabad: GITAM (Deemed to be University), Hyderabad has proudly announced that its distinguished alumna, Shivali Johri Srivastava (School of Technology, Batch 2016–2020), along with her parents Kavita Johri Srivastava, has added two new Guinness World Records to her name for creating the World’s largest display of origami.
With these latest feats, Shivali’s total count has reached 21 Guinness World Records, making her the individual with the maximum number of Guinness World Records in India - a distinction that fills the GITAM community with immense pride.
Her earlier record-breaking creations included intricate displays such as 1,251 handmade paper dolls, 7,011 uniquely quilled flowers, 3,501 origami whales, 2,100 origami penguins, 6,132 origami citrus fruits, 6,500 bats, 5,500 cars, 3,400 dinosaurs, 3,400 peacocks, and 3,400 ribbon bows, among others.
In addition to her Guinness World Records, Shivali also holds 15 Assist World Records and four Unique World Records, reflecting her creativity, patience, and commitment to the art of paper craft.
The GITAM leadership, including Prof DS Rao, Pro Vice-Chancellor; DVVSR Varma, Resident Director; Ambika Philip, Director (Hospitality and Campus Life); and Dr D Mallikarjuna Reddy, along with faculty, staff and students - extended their heartfelt congratulations to Shivali for her extraordinary accomplishments and for bringing global recognition to GITAM University.
