City-based digital engineering service provider Cigniti Technologies Limited on Friday announced its partnership with Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT), a Hyderabad-based educational institution, for the launch of a training programme aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry.

Cigniti Tech, MGIT partner to upskill students

Hyderabad City-based digital engineering service provider Cigniti Technologies Limited on Friday announced its partnership with Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT), a Hyderabad-based educational institution, for the launch of a training programme aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), students will get to improvise practical skills and technical knowledge that cater to the demands of the IT industry.

Leveraging Cigniti's industry experience, a customised training programme has been curated. The programme will include hands-on workshops, and practice labs, besides real-time projects, guest lectures by subject matter experts from Cigniti, and potential internship opportunities.

“Through this collaboration, we aim to nurture a well-prepared, skilled workforce to meet the industry's challenges. Cigniti brings its extensive expertise and industry insights to the table, leveraging its deep domain knowledge and global experience in technology through the C-ignite program," said HR Global Head Cigniti Technologies Veera Reddy Patlolla.

Along with Veera Reddy and Prof Chandramohan Reddy, the leadership teams from both sides were present at the signing ceremony.

Prof G Chandramohan Reddy, Principal, MGIT said, “Through this collaboration, we aim to bridge the gap between academia and the industry, ensuring that our students are well-equipped to thrive in the ever-evolving world of technology.”
